In addition to the base in West, Air Evac operates 85 air medical bases across 15 states and currently operates 19 Bases in Texas. Additional Air Evac Lifeteam bases in the immediate area are located in Ennis, Glen Rose (Texas LifeStar) and Fairfield.
Air Evac was established by a group of citizens in 1985 to provide air medical transportation to underserved rural locations.
Today, Air Evac has grown to be the largest air ambulance
service in the U.S. Since its founding, the company has transported more than
170,000 patients, serving as a critical link to emergency healthcare for
citizens living in rural areas.
