Ribbon Cutting Ceremony A DAUGHTER’S DREAM

On Thursday, December 3, 2016 the Lake Whitney Chamber of Commerce held a Ribbon Cutting ceremony at the Grand Opening of Whitney’s newest downtown business.

This is a Ladies Boutique with clothing, accessories and gifts along with a unique eating place offering coffees, teas, sodas, sandwiches, salads, soups and desserts.  They are open from 10am to 6pm Monday through Saturday and closed on Sundays.  Their lunch fare is from 11am to 2pm and desserts and drinks are served until closing. They have made a beautiful store and invite everyone to stop by, shop, eat, rest and relax in a wonderful atmosphere.

Plaque presentation held for The Windmill Bed and Breakfast

On Wednesday, November 25, 2015, the Lake Whitney Chamber of Commerce held a Plaque presentation at the Chamber office for Harry & Lisa Von Borstel, owners of The Windmill Bed and Breakfast.  They are located at 441 HCR 2421E in Hillsboro and can be reached at 254-582-7373 or 800-951-0033 or by visiting their website at www.windmillbb.com or email windmillbb@hillsboro.net.

“Gracious Hospitality in a Charming Country Setting” is this unique bed and breakfast, 1910 Victorian-styled home decorated in traditional furnishings and antiques.  Guest rooms are elegant, romantic and are most comfortable.

RELEASE RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY The Rose of Sharon Ministries

On Tuesday evening, September 22, 2015, the Lake Whitney Chamber of Commerce visited The Rose of Sharon Ministries, Inc. at 108 S. Colorado Street for a Ribbon Cutting ceremony for the newest member of the Chamber.

Barbara Elyse Short- Director, Laurie Cook, Chamber Secretary Jan Campbell, Nancy McGinnis, Bubba Radke, Richard Jones, Sherry Pritchett and Joe Manders.   The President is Nancy McGinnis, Vice-President Sherry Pritchett, Secretary/Treasurer Elyse Short, Advisors Joe Manders, Bubba Radke, Richard Jones and House Supervisor Laurie Cook.

This is a Christ faith- based ministry helping women in crisis and/or who are coming out of incarceration to become productive and successful citizens.  Director Short is very grateful for the entire communities support over the past two years.  Their purpose is to not only support women who come to the home but to be an asset to the community.  Their phone is: 254-694-8342.

RIBBON CUTTING HILLSBORO/WHITNEY AGLOW LIGHTHOUSE

On Monday, July 13, 2015, the Lake Whitney Chamber of Commerce visited Hillsboro to hold a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for HILLSBORO/WHITNEY AGLOW LIGHTHOUSE with Mary Rae, Carrie Norton and a great group of members. This is an Outreach Ministry that meets the second Monday of every month at Comfort Inn in Hillsboro.  Refreshments start at 6:30pm with the meeting at 7pm.   This is a community outreach program with prayer and fellowship with one another. You can read more about them on Facebook or their website at: www.hillsborowhitneyaglow.com or call 254-495-7872 for more information.

Whitney Pc. Doctor RIBBON CUTTING PRESS RELEASE

On Tuesday, May 19, 2015 the Lake Whitney Chamber of Commerce visited Whitney PC Doctor, Mr. Warren Pelham, Owner, at 103 S. Ribbon Cutting ceremony at Uncle Gus’ Lodge & Marina Boat Sales & Service
