Ribbon cutting ceremony for OPERATION GREATER LOVE

On Thursday, April 9, 2015, the Lake Whitney Chamber of Commerce held a Ribbon cutting ceremony for OPERATION GREATER LOVE before their meeting at the Open Range Cowboy Church at 7:00 p.m. More than 25 people attended including Chamber President Debbie Clay, Operation Greater Love Chair, Perry Auten (254-602-2068), FundRaising Chair, Denise Callaway (254-707-0975) and board members and volunteers. 

This is a faith based group of central Texas men and women “Honoring” wounded American soldiers by building homes and hope. They will have a 5K Color Run/Walk on June 6th. and a banquet, live & silent auction and fund raising event at Whitney Fellowship at The Forum on April 25th.

Ribbon Cutting Press Release SOUTHERN CHARM BOUTIQUE

On Saturday, February 28, 2015, the Lake Whitney Chamber of Commerce held a Ribbon Cutting ceremony for owner, Ms. Nikki Brunett of the SOUTHERN CHARM BOUTIQUE 100 E. Jefferson Avenue, Suite B in Whitney (next to Bosque Real Estate).

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony & Grand Opening of Lake Whitney Taekwondo

On Saturday, November 8, 2014, the Lake Whitney Chamber of Commerce held a Ribbon cutting ceremony at the Grand Opening of Lake Whitney Taekwondo, 1220 N. Brazos Street in Whitney with owner/instructor Danny Smith, his wife Kelly, along with their family, friends, students and parents. 

Cutting the ribbon was Danny Smith and Kelly Smith held the new plaque with member/ambassador Tammy McCoy of Top Notch Personnel, Director Debbie Clay from the Chamber and her granddaughter Alyssa Prosser, who was celebrating her 12th. birthday.  His email is:  lakewhitneytkd@gmail.com or click LIKE on FaceBook.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Whitney Area Museum

The Lake Whitney Chamber of Commerce visited the Whitney Area Museum Tuesday, October 7, 2014, for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to welcome our new Chamber member.
They are located at 200 N. Brazos in Whitney and can be reached at 254-694-6595. They are meeting to determine their hours of operation so check the Hillsboro Reporter and
the Lakelander & Tacklebox for future announcements plus the Chamber will publish it in our newsletter and on the website at www.lakewhitneychamber.com

The new President, Rhonda Bass, did the honors to cut the ribbon and the new officers are as follows: Misty Vivian, Vice-President, Jerri Mullens, Secretary, Debra Katz, Treasurer, Vic Mohon, Margaret Brunett and Betty Willis make up the rest of the board. Member representatives from the US Postal Service along with Director Jason Holloway, Director Bob Wilson and member/ambassadors Kevin Offutt of First Bank and Renee Kettler of TNMP were on hand for the ceremony.
We are very happy to have this new member and for our museum to once again be open to the public.
