Christmas Celebration

Whitney's annual lighted evening parade and Christmas tree lighting is held each year on the second Saturday of December. Carolers entertain the crowd, Santa Claus is on hand to visit with the children, and photographs are available.

During the day, downtown sidewalks are filled with vendors displaying that perfect Christmas gift. Area restaurants setup booths to quench your thirst and satisfy your appetite. Hot chocolate, homemade candy, and other goodies entice visitors young and old.

Booths and downtown businesses stay open late for shopping. The Whitney Fire Department and the Downtown Whitney Merchants Association co-sponsor this event.
