Medical Services

The Lake Whitney Medical Center is a 72 bed hospital, with an Emergency Room staffed by physicians 24 hours a day. Services offered include swing beds, cardiac studies, respiratory therapy, CT scans and ultrasound, home health, and outpatient services. It is located at 200 North San Jacinto, on the east side of downtown. A helicopter pad, behind the hospital, is used for emergency transports. Call 254-694-3165 for more information.

For procedures not handled locally, residents can go to other nearby hospitals including Hill Regional in Hillsboro, Goodall-Witcher Hospital in Clifton, Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Cleburne, Huguley Memorial Medical Center in Burleson, Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco, and Providence Healthcare Network in Waco.

Many medical professionals have their offices in Whitney. There are three Chiropractors, two Dentist Offices, an Optometrist, three Pharmacies, a Physical Therapist office, three Physician's Clinics, two Nursing Homes, and a brand new Assisted Living complex.
