Star Parties

During the summer, typically when there is a new moon, you may be able to join local astronomers for a star gazing party at Lake Whitney State Park. The "stars at night" really are "big and bright" in Whitney, away from the larger cities of Texas. Telescopes are provided, and the astronomers can explain the night skies to anyone wanting to learn more.
